6 Egg Yolks
1 oz. Brandy
1 cup Sifted Flour
3 Tbs. Sugar
1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks until lemon colored; add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in brandy and cream of tartar, then beat in flour a little at a time. Turn out onto lightly floured board and knead until dough does not stick to hands, adding a bit more flour as needed. Roll thin and cut into strips about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide, slit each piece in center with knife and pull one end through to form the twish. Fry in deep hot fat until lightly browned; lift out with slo0tted spoon, drain on absorbent paper and sprinkle with sifted powder sugar.
