2 large heads of lettuce
1 lb ground beef
1 pkg small grape or cherry tomatoes
1 red onion
16 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 can of medium black olives
1 regular sized bag of tortilla chips
2 bottles of creamy Itailian salad dressing
2 8oz bottles of taco sauce.

Fry the meat, drain and set aside to cool completely.
cut or tear the lettuce into bite sized pieces and place in large bowl. Dice the red onion and place in bowl with lettuce. Cut the tomatoes into halves or fourths what ever you prefer and place in bowl. Cut the black olives and place in bowl. Put the cheese in the bowl. Take the bag of Tortilla chips and crush them in the bag until they are small bite sized pieces and pour them on top of the rest of the items. Put the cooled meat on top of the other items.

In a separate bowl put the creamy itailian dressing and the taco sauce together and mix well.

With a spoon make a well in the salad mixture and pour 1/2 of the sauce mix and cover it up with the salad ingredients and then pour the remaining sauce on top. Mix it all together well and serve.

This was given to me by my aunt Stevie who was visiting us one summer from Michigan. It soon became a family favorite and my signature dish. It really tasty served cold the next day.
