1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3 cups quick oats
1 cup pecans (chopped)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients. Chill in wax paper rolls. Slice and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. You can also bake immediately.

Bid's mom made these cookies quarter size (bite size) They are delicious and a great cookie to make a carry to the beach.
