1 c. real butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 oz melted unsweetened chocolate
Frosting
5 T. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:

Cream butter; add sugar. Beat until fluffy.Add eggs and vanilla and beat again. Sift together flour and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture. Blend in nuts. Divide dough in half. Add chocolate to one half. spread white layer in bottom of greased 9x13 in. pan. Spread chocolate layer on top. Bake 325
for 25 min. or until done in middle. Cool.
Frosting
In pan slowly blend flour and milk. Cook over low heat until paste thickens. Cool throughly. Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla. Gradually add paste. Beat at high speed 5 min. or until creamy. Spread on cooled bars.
