4 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp.salt
2 tbsp. butter, melted & cooled
1 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flaked coconut
1 jar marachino cherries, drained & halved

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly until thick and pale yellow. Stir together dry ingredients, fold into egg mixture. Stir in butter, vanilla and coconut. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased and floured cookie sheets (or use parchment paper) & top with cherry half. Bake at 325 for about 10-13 minutes.
If dough is too loose, add up to 1 more cup of coconut.
