1 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 8oz. pkg. chopped dates
2 c. rice crispie cereal
1 c. chopped nuts
confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Place sugar, butter and dates in saucepan.Using low to medium heat, melt ingredients for 8 minutes. THIS IS FROM THE TIME YOU PUT THE PAN ON THE HEAT.
2. Mix cereal and nuts; pour over butter mixture over cereal and nuts; mix. Let cool enough to handle and roll into balls. You choose the size. Shake in bag of confectioners' sugar.
3. Store in plastic bag or sealed plastic container. This is the secret to keep them soft!
