1 3/4 c. Flour
1 tsp. Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 c. Shortening
1/2 c. Peanut Butter
1/2 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Blend in the dry ingredients. Mix well. Shape dough into balls and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and place a chocolate candy kiss on each ball, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around the edge. Return to oven and bake 2 - 5 minutes longer until lightly browned.
