Small Can Mandarin Oranges, drained
1 c. Flour
1 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Egg
Nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a mixer bowl and beat at high speed for 3 minutes. Pour into a greased 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake at 350 30-40 minutes.
Topping: Combine 3 T. butter, 3 T. milk, 3/4 cup brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. When cake has been removed from oven, prick it deeply with a fork and drizzle topping over.
