1 lb. lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 large can pork & beans (29 oz.) or 2 small cans
1 large can tomatoes (29 oz.) or 2 small cans
1 1/2 T. chili powder
salt and pepper to taste

Fry meat, drain fat, add onions. Cook till onions are tender. Add rest of ingredients and simmer until flavor is evenly distributed-- about 20 minutes.

Back when I was a student at BYU and lived in Heritage Halls, we always took turns cooking dinner. One of my roommates brought this recipe from home and we all loved it, so naturally it became a standby in the Parsons home.
