"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Famous Brownies, by Ainsley McGhie, is from The Family Cookbook Project,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 lb butter (4 sticks) 1 c cocoa 3 c sugar 8 eggs 4 c flour 1 tsp vanilla
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a large jellyroll pan. Melt the butter and add the cocoa. Mix together and add the sugar and eggs. Mix well and gradually add the flour. After mixed well, add the vanilla. Bake for about 30 minutes.
This recipe makes a lot of brownies! I just frost them with a can of chocolate frosting. If you don't want to make this many brownies just cut the recipe in half and use a 9X13 pan. These are the best!!
