1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Sift together flour and salt and mix well with nuts. Stir sifted dry ingredients into butter mixture. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll into 1" balls. Place 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until set but not brown in 400F oven for 10-12 minutes. While still warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Makes about 4 dozen.
