1 Lb butter 1 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 egg 4 cups flour 1 cup sugar plus 1 tsp cinnamon for dip
Cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla. Add flour a little at a time until well-blended. Chill for 1 hour. Roll pieces of dough into finger-shaped rolls, then roll in cinnamon and sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; leaves about an inch between each cookie because they will flatten during baking. Bake at 350ºF for 15-17 minutes. Do not brown. Makes 7 dozen.
