Pumpkin Raisin Squares Recipe

2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. canned pumpkin
1 c. raisins
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. molasses

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices together. Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs, pumpkin, molasses and vanilla. Beat well and add dry ingredients and raisins. Stir well. Turn onto a greased jelly roll pan and bake at 350 F. 25-30 minutes.

Ice with powdered sugar icing when cold.
