1 box strawberry jello
1 flat can crushed pineapples
1 cup sml. curd cottage cheese
1 cup Cool Whip
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Place pineapple in sauce pan. Pour dry jello over pineapple and stir well, then bring to a rolling boil. Set aside to cool. When mixture is cool, add cottage cheese & Cool Whip. Put in glass container and top with pecans.

I don't think mother ever had a name for this salad. My youngest son called it "The Red Stuff, but without the becans!" Therefore it has always been The Red Stuff.
