Roll a fairly rich biscuit dough to about the thickness of one-half inch. Cover with thinly sliced apples and sprinkle with sugar. Roll up like a jelly roll. Cut in slices abut one inch thick. Place in a baking dish not too close together.

Cover dumplings with sauce made from 1 1/2 c. of sugar, one rounded T. flour one T. butter, and 1 pint boiling water. Grate nutmeg over the top and bake about 40 minutes at 350
Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
