"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous
This recipe for Cranberry Salad, by Doris Sirmon, is from The Sirmon Family Cookbook ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 bag fresh cranberries, ground 1 c. sugar 1 small pkg. strawberry Jello 1 small can crushed pineapple 1 c. chopped nuts 2 c. miniature marshmallows
Mix sugar and cranberries; set aside. Mix Jello with 2 cups boiling water and dissolve; chill until thickened. Drain pineapple and combine remaining ingredients with thickened Jello. Chill overnight. This is very pretty in a clear bowl.
