"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Crunchy Ice Cream Balls, by Kathy Blohm, is from The Buhler Family Cookbook Project,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
Melt butter in medium weight saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until well blended. Stir in crushed cereal until well coated; spread on cookie sheet. Scoop ball of ice cream onto cereal mixture. Roll balls until coated with mixture; place in 9x13 pan, cover and freeze. Serve with caramel, chocolate sauce, honey and/or whipping cream.
Tastes just like deep fried ice cream without the fried. SO GOOD!!!
