2 lbs. ground beef (top round or sirloin)
1 lb. each: ground veal and ground pork
1 c. each: cottage cheese, fresh bread crumbs
1 1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. green pepper, finely chopped
1/2 c. chili sauce
salt, pepper to taste
1/2 c. good red wine
1/2 c. each: tomato sauce, chili sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400. Combine meats in large bowl; mix thoroughly. Add the cottage cheese, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, green pepper and 1/2 cup chili sauce. Season to taste.
Divide mixture in half and place into two 9x5" loaf pans. Pour 1/4 c. wine over each meatloaf. Mix the tomato sauce and last 1/2 cup chili sauce in small bowl. Spread half of the mixture over each meatloaf.
Bake at 400 for 30 minutes, basting frequently with pan juices. Reduce oven temperature to 350
and bake another 50 to 60 minutes, until juices run clear.
