1 1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
2/3 cup milk
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 stick butter, melted
slivered almonds

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Coat loaf pan with plenty of cooking spray. Sprinkle bottom with slivered almonds.
3. Beat well: sugar, egg, extract, milk.
4. Add and mix: flour and baking powder.
5. Add and mix butter.
6. Pour into loaf pan and bake for 40-50 mins. or until edges are browned.
7. Cool COMPLETELY before removing from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Grandma Zarli gave me the special baking pan for this cake as a wedding present. This is such a delicious cake and SO easy to make!
