1 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter or shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. coconut

Sift dry ingredients together. Cream butter and gradually add sugar. Cream until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add flour mixture in 4 parts, beating just until smooth after each addition. Mix in oats and coconut. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-12 minutes at 375.
