Cut up Chicken (salt and pepper it) Place chicken and onion in large pot, cover with water. Cook on medium heat until chicken is done (about 1 hour). Debone chicken put back in pot (do not drain water out). Add dumplings to chicken just cover dumplings with water and chicken broth. Cook 30 minutes.
