13/4 cup all purpose flour
¾ tsp. Baking powder
¼ tsp. Salt
¼ cup butter or margarine
1 egg
3 Tbsp. dairy sour cream
1/3 cup confectioners’ sugar

Filling:
6 eggs
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
11/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 lb. farmer cheese or ricotta
2/3 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups unseasoned mashed potatoes
2 tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Nutmeg
½ tsp. Salt
¼ cup grated orange or lemon peel

For dough, combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender. Beat egg into sour cream. Stir into flour mixture. Stir in sugar. Knead dough until well mixed and smooth. Roll dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Line a 13x9x2- inch pan with dough, and bring dough part way up sides. For filling, separate 1 egg and reserve the white. Beat remaining yolk and whole eggs with the sugar 5 minutes at high speed of electric mixer. Add vanilla extract. Beat at high speed until mixture piles softly. Press cheese through a sieve. Blend cheese with butter; add potatoes, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. Stir in orange peel. Fold into egg mixture. Turn into prepared crust in pan. Bake at 350F about 45 minutes. Turn into prepared crust in pan. Bake at 350F about 45 minutes, or until set. Cool well before cutting.
