1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
1 T cooking oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Batter topping:
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl stir together the first 8 ingredients until smooth. Stir in nuts. Turn into ungreased 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Combine the last 3 ingredients: sugar, cocoa, and boiling water. Pour this mixture evenly over batter in pan. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until cake tests done. Serve warm in dessert dishes.
