Gooey Turtle Bars Recipe

1 roll (16.5 oz) sugar cookie dough (1 tube)
12 oz bag choc chips
3 cups chopped pecans
½ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 jar (12 ¼ oz) caramel ice cream topping
1 cup graham cracker crumbs

Heat oven to 350º.

Press cookie dough in the bottom of an ungreased 13x9 pan.

Sprinkle 1 cup choc chips and 1 ½ cups pecans over dough, lightly press into dough.

In 2 qt saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, caramel topping, and graham cracker crumbs. Heat to boiling stirring constantly. Pour over crust and spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining choc chips and pecans.

Bake at 25 to 32 minutes, or until edges are deep golden brown and pecans are lightly toasted. Cool on rack for 30 minutes, loosen sides form pan, but don’t cut. Cool completely, about 3 hours longer.
