lb. ground beef
lb. bulk Italian sausage or regular sausage cut into small pieces
15 ounces marinara sauce
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms (or I small can) This can be eliminated for those of you who dont like mushrooms.
14 ounces diced tomatoes with Italian herbs, undrained
9 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini (Its more colorful if you use the coloured tortellinin.)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or pizza cheese blend (about 4 ounces)

Cook beef and sausage in frying pan about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Spray inside of 4- to 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Mix beef mixture, marinara sauce, mushrooms and tomatoes in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat setting 7 to 8 hours. Stir in tortellini; sprinkle with cheese. Cover and cook on low heat setting about 15 minutes longer or until tortellini is tender. This can be fairly mild or quite spicy, depending on the sauces and the sausage used.
