1 #2 can crushed pineapple
3/4 cup sugar
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 cups whipping cream, whipped, or 8 oz. of Cool whip

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan bring pineapple and sugar to boil. Boil for five minutes, stirring constantly. Dissolve cream cheese in pineapple and sugar mixture. Cook for a minute or two to blend thoroughly. In a small cup or bowl, dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Pour into pineapple and cheese mixture. Mix well and chill. When cool and set, fold in nuts and whipped topping. Sprinkle crushed nuts on top. Refrigerate until firm.
