6 eggs, separated
3 cups milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup bourbon
1/3 cup brandy
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend egg yolks and sugar until thick & color of butter. Slowly add in bourbon & brandy. Allow to chill in refrigerator. Add milk, nutmeg, and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, beat whipping cream with mixer on high until peaks form.
In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold egg white mixture into egg yolk mixture.
Gently fold cream into egg mixture.
Garnish with nutmeg.

This is as close to Dad's (Big B's) recipe as I have been able to get. His eggnog was a family tradition at Christmas time. I think Mamaw always had 2 cups! Mom (Granna) would have some store bought egg nog for the kids, but usually we would sneak a little taste of the "real stuff"!
