1/4 c. Shortening
1/4 c. Soft Butter
3/4 c. Sugar
1 Egg
1 Tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla or Lemon flavoring
1-1/4 c. Flour
1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together thoroughly the shortening, butter, sugar and egg. Stir in milk and flavoring. Sift together and stir in the flour, baking powder and salt. Chill dough. Roll very thin (1/8 in.). Cut into desired shapes. Place on lightly greased baking sheet and sprinkle with sugar. Bake until delicately browned at 425 fir 5-7 minutes.
