1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. margarine or Crisco 2 eggs 1/2 c. pecans 3 c. self-rising flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder
Mix together sugars and shortening. Add eggs and nuts. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Mix well. Shape into 3 rolls and refrigerate at least 24 hours. Slice and bake at 350º for 12-13 minutes or until done. Dough may be kept in refrigerator for a few months.
