1 cup shortening (part butter)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs, beating well. Sift together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda and salt. Combine with egg mixture. Chill dough thoroughly. Mix the 2 Tbsp. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon together in small bowl. Roll dough into balls (the size of small walnuts); roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake for 8-10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet until lightly browned but still soft. Cool on wire rack.
