1 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
2 1/2 cup unsifted flour
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 tsp. each: salt, soda, cinnamon and vanilla
2 1/2 cups chopped fresh unsweetened rhubarb
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1/2 cup sugar
1 T butter

In large bowl, beat brown sugar, oil, and egg until well mixed.Add buttermilk.Mix flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Beat on low speed until well mixed. Fold in rhubarb and nuts. Pout into 2 greased and floured bread pans. For topping, mix butter and sugar until crumbly. Sprinkle with topping. Bake about 1 hour or less at 350
