Crust: 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 c. sugar, 3 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 c. butter/margarine, 1/2 c. shortening, 2 eggs (1 whole egg and 1 egg w/ yolk and whites separated)

Topping: 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips, 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

1. Set oven to 350. Mix together: Flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon. Add shortening, 1 egg, and egg yolk. Blend well with mixer at low speed.
2. Spread crust evenly on greased cookie sheet.
3. Beat egg white slightly and brush over batter.
4. Combine sugar, cinnamon, chocolate chips, pecans, and sprinkle over batter.
5. Bake 25 mins.
6. Cut into bars while still warm.
