1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening or margarine
1 1/2 tsp. salt
5 eggs
1 qt. Milk, warm
10 to 11 cup flour
2 oz. Cake yeast
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. sugar
cooked prunes

Directions:
Directions:
Beat 1 cup sugar, shortening or margarine, salt and eggs until smooth. Add milk. Dissolve yeast in water and 1 teaspoon sugar. Mix all ingredients together (except prunes); knead very well and let rise. Punch down and let rise again. Then roll out and cut with a cutter and let rise. Then fry in oil and fill after they are done with cooked prunes.
