2 lb lean boiled beef, chopped fine
4 pints tart apples, chopped fine
1 pint sweet apples, chopped fine
1 pint molasses
1 pint boiled sweet cider
3/4 pint vinegar
1 lb seedless raisins
1 lb currants
1-1/2 lb sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
1 grated nutmeg
1 lemon, grated rind and juice
1 orange, grated rind and juice
1 cup citron peel, cut fine

Mix all ingredients thoroughly and bring to a boil. Simmer to blend flavors. Put in jars and seal.
