4 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
red food coloring
1 c. light karo syrup
1/2 c. water
pinch of salt
28 ozs. raw peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, milk, water, and syrup. Bring to boil. Add 14 ozs. peanuts and cook for a few minutes. Then add remaining peanuts. Cook to soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add coloring, salt and vanilla. Beat until mixture begins to thicken. Pour into patties on wax paper.
