1 Cup chopped raw onions,
46.5 oz. Can red kidney beans
2.5 Cups of brown rice
1 Cup water
1/2 Tsp. black pepper, or to taste
2 Tbs. olive oil
14.5 Oz Can fat free chicken broth
(or vegetable broth)
2 Links of veggie sausage... approximately 8 oz.
(I like the spicy kind)


Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in medium saucepan. Add onion and cook
until tender. Add beans, broth, sausage, and
seasonings, mix well and bring to a boil Stir in
rice & cover. Simmer about 30 minutes or until
rice is tender.
