1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped apples
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients and pour into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle on top: 2 Tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon mixed together. Bake 40-60 minutes @ 350.
