3 lbs spare ribs or loin ribs
1 lemon, sliced
1 C chopped onions
TEXAS BBQ SAUCE:
2 T brown sugar
1 t salt
1 t dry mustard
1/4 t chili powder
1/8 t cayenne pepper
2 T Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 C vinegar
1 C tomato juice
1/4 C ketchup
1/2 C water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients for TEXAS BBQ SAUCE and simmer. Place ribs in serving size pieces, on rack in shallow baking pan. Cover each with lemon slice and onions. Bake uncovered at 450º for 30 minutes. Pour BBQ sauce over all. Reduce heat to 350º and bake for 1 1/2-2 hours. Baste every 15 minutes. If sauce thickens, add hot water. To prevent ribs from browning too much cover last 30 minutes.
