8-10 medium potatoes, peeled
1/2 c hot milk, sometimes I use evap milk
8 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sour cream
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Slice potatoes 1/4 inch thick. Cook in boiling water until fork tender, about 15 minutes. Whip potatoes with electric mixer until moderately smooth. Don't overbeat them; a few lumps are nice. Add hot milk, butter, and sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste. Whip until mixed. Adjust thickness by adding more milk, if desired.
