Ingredients:  
1 quart of leaf lettuce
4 or 5 slices of lean bacon
1/4 c. vinegar
4 green onions
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Wash lettuce and cut up in large bowl. Cut onions and add to lettuce and salt. Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and break into bites.
Reserve 3 T or more of bacon drippings.
Re-heat drippings with vinegar until very hot. Pour over lettuce and onions and bacon bites and mix.
