1 quart of milk (scalded)
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 large cans evaporated milk
1 quart cold milk
2 T. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3 drops lemon extract (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, add sugar and mix well. Add this to scalded milk. Cook slowly over low heat until thickened. Let just barely bubble, stirring constantly; Cool.
Add remaining ingredients to cooled egg mixture. Pour into freezer container.
Freeze as an home-made ice cream.
