1 pkg. butter or yellow cake mix Reserve 2/3 c. for filling
1/2 c. butter melted
1 egg

Filling:
2/3 c. cake mix
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 t. vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 c. dark corn syrup

2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 9x13 pan.
Mix cake mix - (the 2/3 cup set aside), butter and egg. Press into pan. Cook for 15 min in a 350 oven. Prepare filling. Pour over cooked crust. Sprinkle with pecans. Press nuts down. Cook an additional 30-35 min.
