2 3/4 cup sifted cake flour
1 3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
3/4 cups milk
2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs, separated
1 cup nuts, cut fine

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening and sugar, add egg yolks and cream together. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt, add alternately with the milk. Add vanilla and nuts, then fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in 9 in tube pan in moderate oven, 350 , 60-70 minutes.
