"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Combine the beef with the next six ingredients. Toast the split muffins in the broiler until lightly browned. Divide the meat mixture among the muffins, spreading evenly. If desired, sprinkle with a little oregano. Serve hot.

Personal Notes:
If you don't like the idea of putting uncooked meat on the muffin, you can shape into 8 patties and broil or fry first.
