1/3 c. butter
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk (or 1 T. vinegar in 1 cup milk. Let sit 10 min.)

Directions:

Melt butter. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Mix all ingredients together, mixing thoroughly. Pour into a greased square pan. Bake 30 minutes at 375.

Can be doubled easily and cooked in a 9x13 pan.
