3 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon soda
2 cups sugar
4 cups chopped pared apples
1/2 cup oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts

Lunar Landing Topping:
1 eight ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened

Cake:
Beat eggs and oil until foamy. Sift flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon together. Add to egg mixture. Add remaining ingredients, except topping, and mix well. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 35 - 40 minutes or until cake is done. Remove from the oven and spread with topping while cake is still hot. Cool before cutting.

Lunar Landing Topping:
Blend all ingredients until creamy. Add a few drops of milk, if necessary for spreading consistency. Spread on hot cake.
