1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
cup brown sugar
teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
1 cup sour milk
2 eggs
2 cups dried apples (four good- sized apples)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream white sugar, brown sugar and shortening. Add eggs to creamed mixture. Dissolve soda in milk and add milk alternately with remaining sifted dry ingredients. Fold in dry apples and pour into an 8 X 12 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes. For a topping, mix cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, cup nuts and sprinkle over hot cake.
