Pecan halves
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter
1 1/2 cup cornflakes, not crushed
8 ounces sharp or extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, or less, according to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and mix with cheese. Add other ingredients, adding cornflakes last. Spoon onto baking sheet. Put a pecan half on top of each cookie and press slightly to secure. Bake at 275 for 25 - 30 minutes.
