1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 T. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 T. melted shortening
Topping:
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa. Add milk, vanilla, and melted shortening. Mix until smooth. Pour into greased 8" pan.

For the topping, mix brown sugar and cocoa and sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all ingredients. Bake 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes.

This recipe is a favorite of our daughter, Chrys Cheatham Hawkins. I pretend that I'm making brownie pudding for Chrys, but really I like it and I hope you like it too!!!!
