1/3 c. crisco oil
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 F. Grease baking sheets lightly.
Combine crisco oil, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl. Add egg. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until blended. Stir in flour, salt, and baking soda until mixture is smooth. Blend in milk. Drop by tsp. onto baking sheets. Flatten cookies with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. (Use colored sugar for holiday cookies) Bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until barely browned around the edges. Avoid overbaking.
